The LHWH marketing plan for Barefoot Resort & Golf included local, regional, and national PR programs, including numerous on-site realtor events designed to strengthen co-brokerage production.
One particularly successful initiative resulted in Barefoot Resort & Golf’s inclusion in “America’s 100 Best Master-Planned Communities” in Where To Retire Magazine. By virtue of our long-standing relationships with the Where To Retire editors, LHWH gained insight into the magazine’s selection process. Armed with the knowledge that the editors highly valued positive stories run by other media outlets, we made generating significant regional and national coverage a top priority. We routinely shared these stories with the Where To Retire editors. Through this process, and regular conversations with the editors, LHWH established a rapport that increased receptivity to Barefoot’s nomination.
When the moment came to formally nominate Barefoot Resort, LHWH was meticulous in its preparation of all materials and its adherence to the editors’ guidelines. In addition, we requested their insights along the way, making the Barefoot application a collaborative effort. We augmented the nomination package with supplemental materials we’d determined would make the most favorable impression, including a professionally packaged press kit and exceptional photography.
We’re happy to report that Barefoot Resort & Golf was named one of “America’s 100 Best Master-Planned Communities” in both 2003 and 2005.
