GOING FOR THE GREEN

Founders Group International (FGI) is one of the Southeast’s leading golf course owner-operators. Formed in 2014, FGI owns an online tee time booking company, golf packaging company and operates 22 golf courses in and around Myrtle Beach, S.C.

In 2016, LHWH was retained to develop and execute a media relations strategy that would: (1) increase awareness of FGI’s golf courses and packaging companies among golfers nationwide; and (2) increase local awareness of FGI as a major employer, investor and philanthropic contributor in the Grand Strand area.

LHWH worked with local, state and national media to generate publicity for FGI. News ranged from publicizing the inaugural Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship tournament, to helping develop and promote specialized golf packages, to leveraging golf tips and skills books produced by prominent golf instructors at FGI facilities. In addition to producing and distributing news releases, LHWH adapted and produced content for several FGI online platforms including websites, newsletters and blogs.

During 2017, news about FGI appeared 1,521 times in 121 different media with an overall reach of more than 150 million impressions. Our work for FGI continues to this day.
